Completely average. Their downs is the Japanese writing. Their ups are their attempts at world-building.From beginning to current chapter - you never really feel excitement for the story. It's too safe and at the same time, boring. You can be safe and still be interesting but the way it's written you know nothing is going to happen. Whenever the MC has an issue, it's resolved by w.e OP thing the author wants to do. When the side characters are having problems, it tends to just fade away until it's not an issue anymore. The basic outline is: MC complain > Food> Chat about the day>meet new people or do w.e > solve issue > get reactions from side characters > MC looks confused and moves on > find new thing to do. It's become sort of annoying how the side characters are becoming less interesting and more a vehicle to react. The best this story has to offer is the world-building from the city, conflicts, the way they use magic, the consequences to using magic, the gods, the history, the culture the gods represent, and the belief systems.
