The Villain Runs Wild Chapter 119 Discussion

Lin Sui is a top tier when we talk about villainous protagonist.

Spoiler

This is not the usual quick transmigration where you can just jump at any arc and enjoy reading. As the story goes back to reminisce a lot from the past here and there. So much more about Lin Sui and Yan Qin relationship are scattered, I feel like I might miss when I blink. And as it was told from Lin Sui perspective, most of the times the tones are really sinister. And you can tell a lot from the way he narrates his own past: he enjoy talking about his twisted and manipulative personality, but avoid talking about his fragile love/heart. They know how unhealthy their entanglement are but they just can't help it like moth to a flame. The way the author write and describe the nuance in the story is excellent. I'd say it kinds of poetic at times, and the tone of the story is quite dark at most, with the abusive that's going on. In fact, I want to salute Yan Qin perseverance; despite everything, he does not turn into some villain himself and really believe their love deserve a chance. I'd say Yan Qin is your typical class champion or boy scout, he really does have a good heart, a good nature, optimistic. A real opposite of Lin Sui. Even the system is somewhat, in my opinion, crazy and cynical.

Can't say every chapter is packed, as sometime I feel like it can pace faster, but it's okay. What's interesting for me, is guessing what will happen next.

My suggestion when you dive in: remember that he is a villain. The world sees him as a villain and he ain't here to correct the world.
