I'll be putting this on hold for now. The initial chapters were engaging, but the narrative became tedious after a while. I also found the deception in chapter 21 to be unnecessary. I sympathize with Han Shengyao, who is repeatedly deceived by the MC, Lin Qianshuang. As of now, I find the protagonist unappealing; beneath her many facades lie even more. While I understand her focus on saving the FLs, her journey has rendered her bland and detestable.This makes me want to just reread The Witch Nichang or The Dragon to satisfy my hunger for good writing...
