It was pretty good for what it is. I actually liked these type of zombie apocalypse novels where it’s almost slice of life, following the MC through their journey. I loved the group so much and the author does well in integrating new characters to the group that it doesn’t ever make you feel like the newer people to join their group is an outsider.I just remember vividly how my entire body got goosebumps every time they mention or come across the Red Zombies. My imagination of it scared me so bad which is a first for me.a lot, a LOT of mentions and descriptions of omega r*pe/assault.I was all in up until the part where old yuan ended up assaulting the omega xie brother and literally raping him. I know of course it’s abo and there’s always going to be a “suddenly going into heat” plot point but that was particularly disappointing not only because it’s just horrible all around for the omega xie brother, but that old yuan was never a character where you would think he’d do that. The author literally ruined his character for me. Not sure how old the omega xie brother is but I was under the impression that he’s really young. It does mention he was in the entertainment industry for a long time so I’ll just make it up in my head that he’s at least 30 for the sake of my sanity.Anyway, I dropped it at chapter 133 because that’s my number one ICK. Skimmdd the ending for the zombie reveal but yeah. It was okay for me overall up until that point.
