My Bloody Valentine Chapter 146 Discussion

This is one of those stories that you read and can enjoy but can never recommend to other people 🤣

Ahh this webnovel brings back memories. I binge read the entire thing months ago when it was part of an event and finished the entire thing in 3 days and let me tell you, it's a never-ending ride. The ML is very, VERY problematic but he tries to redeem himself and get better since a lot of his behavior is caused by severe trauma. Here's a breakdown: Spoiler

ML and MC grow up in the same orphanage. MC is very pure and innocent and ML wants to protect him. There's a very specific memory that MC holds about a peach tree (?), sorry its been a long time since I read the novel. One day, a trafficker wants to adopt MC but ML takes his place because he knows that an evil man is trying to take MC away. ML doesnt tell MC about his plans, the orphanage director tells MC that ML wanted to get adopted instead and took his place. Most of ML's trauma comes after taking MC's place, getting ab*sed daily and having his spirit broken. Eventually, him and the other ens*aved kids rebel against the trafficker, kill him, and work together to form ML's mafia empire lol. Now ML is a mafia boss with most of his memories repressed because of his trauma, causing his amnesia with MC. He still subconciously desires MC obsessively but he doesnt understand why.

The story is pretty dark, and MC suffers a lot through it, and a lot of the suffering is caused by the ML himself. It takes a while for them to finally get on the same page. Of course, it's not a story that everyone will enjoy. The amnesia plot wasn't too drawn out imo, I remembered it being well-paced to the very end. The side characters have lots of development, which is always my favorite part of these webnovels because the world feels fleshed out. I recommend people to go read the raws because aaa***'s comments on Ridibooks were always very funny to read every chapter. I think the most memorable comment was the one from a mother who really loved the story, it really took me out imagining us tr*sh lovers coming together to root for this crazy couple's happiness already xD

I mainly kept reading so MC can finally get his happy ending. Spoiler

obviously, he does. I think thats the important part. Whether you the reader forgive ML is entirely up to you. I will tell you MC forgives him already, but what can you do. Its childhood friend privilegs, and MC barely has any other fanily to depend on. One of the good things about the novel is that MC makes some friends so it's not like he would have nobody if not the ML ^^
