One thing that almost stopped me from reading this novel is seeing the others reviewers complaining about the translation.I thought it would be reallly bad. But!It’s true that it’s not perfect but everything is understandable - considering that the translators are working on this novel for free, I think we shouldn’t judge or complain about the translator/s.Anyhoooo back to the storyMY LIKES:
- It’s a good read if you’re looking for a light read
- There’s no angst, it’s just a smooth sailing ride
- I like that the author used time skips
- The beginning chapters was hard to read because everything was over explained. Like for every sentence they speak, expect a long explanation. However, after maybe chapter 15 it improved and this wasn’t a problem anymore
- The antagonist was introduced as “smart” in the beginning but mid-end of the story, he suddenly becomes “dumb” and the face slapping was not so enjoyable anymore because the antagonist is the one causing his own doom
- I dislike the fat shaming a lot (this happened a lot when the antagonist gained weight). It felt unnecessary. It would have been okay if it was just a chapter or two but it went on for a while and I understand that not everyone likes a plump body and it’s okay if the characters personalities doesn’t like it but it was a topic that went on for a while and felt unnecessary
