The story is excellent, fresh, and unique. No one has thought of blending Asian shamanism with medieval fantasy culture, and the author executes it brilliantly. The character portrayal is remarkable— the MC is not your typical goody-two-shoes pushover with no backbone. Instead, the MC has negative traits that make him more relatable to readers. For example, when he receives a big reward after completing a request, he feels happy, but fate forbids him from taking more than what he's entitled to, leading to misunderstandings about his true nature. This makes him appear saintly, even though it's the god he serves who limits him. This aspect adds layers of intrigue and excitement to the story. However, I feel the world-building introduction is somewhat lacking. But it's too early to judge definitively. Considering the author's track record of delivering a well-packaged story, I have high expectations. For now, I'll give it 4 stars just to be save
