The negative aspects mentioned in the few stars reviews do exist.MC knows what'll happen, so every time he goes somewhere new we, the readers, are being told what is supposed to happen here. And the plot will go "wrong" since the MC's actions change the story he knows. That's what I like. I like seeing him think "I don't want troubles to come my way, I'll be still" then watching troubles get in his way and how is is "forced" to act. Because no matter what he said (don't want to be noticed, wish for a peaceful life) this MC doesn't let the people around get injured. He doesn't realize how nice he is and always justify himself ("Ok, I may be acting now, but it's for xx reason, it's advantageous on the long run"). Watching him like this is fun for me, but that won't necessary be the case for everyone else. And I really like the dragon. Anyway, reviews are quite subjective to begin with.10/22/19 Edit: I've been reading this novel daily for a whole year now, and the story went above and beyond my expectations. The authors is a god at foreshadowing future events with details you don't notice. We went from a nice show of a MC who knows the future and tours the world, getting powerful all in order to be a slacker, to an epic tale including all the powerful leaders and foes of a world with a rich past and lore. But all things Cale does is for the sake of his slacker life! The story is very self-centered on him, yet the side characters get to have their own personality and development. You cannot not ending up loving them.09/04/21 Edit: So, I'm still reading this novel, as soon as a chapter is out I jump on it. I failed to stock-pill every time I attempted to. It's difficult for a long running series to keep being interesting. They tend to get repetitive. Here, the author (may they be blessed) has taken this story to a higher lever by perfectly merging all the usual loose ends together. In the comments, someone once said the author was shooting at us using a "Chekhov's sniper gun" from like 100+ chapters ago. Each new story arc unfold naturally, delivering the epic tale of the most busy slacker in the entire world. I won't say more, I'd be happy if more people come to like this series, just be prepared for a long ride, because in the 700th chapter, the author announced that in less than a year, we'll reach the end of PART ONE. *Sigh* and here I thought Cale would finally concretize his dream...
