It's good. When this novel peaks it peaks. It will give you chills, it will make hit 'next chapter' nonstop. But there are just some gaps and arcs that completely bore me. Hence why I'm dropping it for now, I no longer have any motivation to read it. Like others said, it does get repetitive at times.

It feels like the MC is completely in control, almost omniscient. There has been nothing in the story, this far in, that has ever made me worry for the MC. That being said, it is unique, and the appeal of the story is more about his leadership and 'strategy' rather than his own powers. Granted, he is collecting his own powers and I assume it will combine into something big in the future but for now it's just him being weak, commanding strong political powers around the continent.

This includes beast tribes, forgotten races, legendary beings, dragons. This is the best appeal of the story, and it is addicted and chill inducing when he brings his allies together.

The MC has his heroic moments but it ends up as cringy. The side characters praise him way too much, anything he does is praised, "as expected of Cale." The story develops relationships that try to induce emotion, but it never really gets me. Now that I think about it, I don't really care for any of the characters. I just see them as the MC's pawns, which they pretty much are, in the disguise of 'friends.' In the end Cale just uses them for his own purposes and it is hard to see a relationship as genuine when they are manipulated by nature. Cale didn't really befriend them by chance, he used his knowledge of the novel to meet them and save them from their respective perilous situation.

I don't really care for any of the characters, or the future of the story, which is not a good sign. In the end I can only be appealed so much by large scale battles where each side just takes turns taking out their 'trump card.' The novel tries to disguise trump cards as some surprising event but it just turns out to be lame and not very exciting.
