After Defying the Villain’s Fate for Nine Lifetimes, the Heroines Turn Mad! Chapter 87 Discussion

Very little makes sense. It's basically an idiot's plot, i.e. The plot can only be maintained because everyone is an idiot and can't put two and two together. There are many other problems as well.

  • The protagonist, ironically has very little protagonism and much of the novel is spent on the point of view of other characters.
  • The "heroines" are all unlikeable. Before the "memory reveal" they have at least some personality but they turn into one-dimensional yanderes after.
  • MC cares about the one person he shouldn't care about, his master. Everyone treated him like garbage in his past lives, but he says only his master cared about him, which is complete bullshit. That Qingning girl also cared about him and unlike his master, believed in him for a long time. Not to mention, his master brutally killed and crippled him multiple times before expelling him from the sect, but he treats that girl coldly while simping for his master.
  • The plot becomes repetitive and predictable.
  • The system is a joke. The author forgets the rules he sets up and only rewards the MC in weird moments.
I'll stop here because I just realised I could probably go on forever. One last thing is that the translator has more than half of the novel behind a paywall, but this doesn't affect the review.
