As a serious, straight, novel, davidwolf2d's 2 star rating is correct on all of his criticisms (except the one regarding his master). The premise is interesting but the value of that premise is expended almost immediately once the first heroine 'turns mad'. In the 69 chapters I've read, the most interesting segments are the other characters who discover the truth of the world and their response afterwards. Meanwhile, the MC getting a system that gives him random things somewhat upsets the balance of the story a bit. With people who were against him converting over to his side, and then with these random powerups, what challenge is there to be had?Which is why you should enjoy this as a comedy instead. Once you throw away the idea that this is a serious story, you can more easily enjoy the farcical aspects while ignoring the nightmare fuel that lies in the background. The important characters all going cuckoo is bad for a serious story but in a comedic framing what they end up doing is quite funny. The plot no longer matters as much (hey, we can guess from the start that all of his martial siblings and maybe his master will eventually flip over to his side and then he'll triumph over the protagonist) and you can just enjoy the ride. You don't have to agonize over how everybody is absolutely failing to talk to each other about the facts that they've discovered (even if it would be useless because protagonist's plot armor) and just chuckle instead about how blind they all are. You don't have to think about whether it's morally just to punish certain people for things they haven't done yet and might have been coerced by the hand of fate. From this perspective the story is a pretty good one - a decent mix of face slapping, a good guy revelling in the freedom of being an a**hole, the things people can get up to when they throw sanity out the window, etc.
