I tried to read this for the second time, the first time I didn't get very far and my main comment was: "Ahh the characters don’t interest me as much either. The FL is already so OP already and the chapters are too short." Now, I was able to read more slowly with this understanding, and yet, still, I found myself getting bored the more I read. I think it's mainly because the FL was too poorly developed. From the very beginning, she was already acting like a Mary Sue -- with a fluid personality that changes as is convenient and built-in OP cheats and skills that makes it unnecessary for her to really work hard to achieve anything. All in all, just not my kind of story, I guess. I'll try to reread it once more in the future, just to make sure. But since I've dropped it twice already, I'll be giving it a rating.

SUMMARY: The FL transmigrates into ancient times with a magical space and expert apothecary skills bred from an apocalypse modern-day Earth. She finds her soul transmigrated into the body of Gu Ye, the 'daughter' of the 7th Gu branch family that lives in the remote mountains. Her stepmother is unkind and her father has never treated her as a daughter (because he's not actually his biological father XD). She has a twin brother that cares for her, and so she sticks around this remote place with seemingly no ambition aside from living as well as she can. In the process, she and her brother will get adopted by a military man, and she'll have an early encounter with the ML (who is also a transmigrator -- and one she knew well, to boot!)

THOUGHTS: The rating I'll be giving is pretty low (3/5), but not as low as it could be. I think the author's writing is not bad, if they were a little more careful about the beginning of the story, I would have probably been able to continue reading. It's just that there was not much there for me to care about the characters for, and I ended up getting bored early as a result. The chapters I read was mostly slice of life, but based on the other reviews, things will start to change in the future. There's already foreshadowing with the FL's biological family, so yeah. This should be one of those self-indulgent novels where the FL has a relatively smooth path in life. Which is not so bad a read if you're looking for something less dramatic and tragic, and more fluffy and smooth-sailing.
