The worst part is about how thr entire family hid her past from her mother even though it's clear she's being fed thoughts by an unseen villain. Like if you know your mom is being contacted by an unknown enemy who might feed her lies messing with her unstable mind, why don't you control the narrative and tell her? Mom even made friends with one of the end villains... like huh??
It could still be played down, or give her half truths. That crap was dragged out sooooo many chapters. The suspense of it all made it a lot more dramatic to her mom... for what??? Still told her in the end.
