This translation is incredible! I like the story so far, characters are likeable and funny. Protag is a dense sweet talker I love itedit: 24 chapters in, the translation is still amazing !! I love the in-depth translators notes and its just so smooth !! zisong and the princess are super cute I love themedit: i've finished the story... through tears with the final chapters 😠I think this is my absolute favorite cn wn I have ever read. the romance is incredible ! and the translation is amazing, the translated prose is moving and natural, and the translation notes are detailed and well-done, though unneeded to understand the text, as it is translated so well !!the two leads are so truly in love with each other, and their interactions are so sweet and lovely I could feel my heart crush in my chest !! one of my favorite passages: Spoiler

Even if they'd been poor, even if she'd been less good-looking than she was now, I wouldn't have minded; I'd have made her the mistress of my stronghold without a second thought. And when there was nothing much to do, we might make up a game of madiao with Xu Ziqi and Yi Chen. Or perhaps we'd roam the world together, looking for some idyllic spot far away from everything.
