There are a few reviews which mention that this ln starts off with a revenge plot but the author quickly ditches it and the MC turns into the typical goodie two shoes isekai character, a sentiment I disagree with. I think any magnanimity which he shows is a result of him not wanting to hurt those who did not directly hurt him. Those who have hurt him he desires to kill with the rationale that if they're dead they can't hurt him anymore.Otherwise, this story is one of my favourite isekai lns, it has very realistic character growth and explains things even when they don't necessarily need an explanation, for example, the author explains that the skill mental corruption is a skill sought out by underworld organizations (as it has the effect of resisting mental attacks) and it often indicates someone is insane. Details like these make the story that much better.The only nitpick I have about this ln is that the food sections are rather irritating, though they still aren't too long and they're fine to skip.
