For those who only read a few chapters and conclude that our MC is some kind of typical open-minded protagonist, you should patient and read again. Personally I think he is basically a good guy but have a serious happiness complex (?). He don't want to kill people and very kind when somebody good to him but when some guy likely to take happiness from him, he will kill them to some extent that someone think it guro and hard to bear.Spoiler
I think you guy gave this novel 1 star when MC don't kill all people that called his mother "witch" or when he stayed at ghoul village but trust me, he is a villian in this novel, the demon kill that kill heroes and eat the god. Be patient and you will see how insane this guy is
