The story starts off great. The story feels interesting, funny, and the pace was really good. MC is cheery, yet manipulative, which is refreshing. And there are quite a few funny moments, especially early in the story. But then it starts to drag after chapter 30 or so. Between chapter 30-48, not much happens, and in fact, it feels like a lot like plot filler. The most frustrating part is that MC and ML only have maybe 1 or 2 romantic moments up until this point. So not much happening in that department. It wouldn't be so bad if, instead, the story focused on father-son relationship building, or perhaps unraveling the mystery behind MC's transmigration, or even the story behind Seymour (OG!ML), but none of these plot developments progress satisfactorily, to a point of frustration. All you get are tidbits that hint at something bigger. But these tidbits are ALL vastly overshadowed by events or encounters that focus on how manipulative MC is. It's like that point has been driven into the ground.Yes, author-nim, we understand that MC is manipulative, but please move the story along now.The sad part is that, as of chapter 49, it feels like we are about to enter a giant filler arc. -Sigh-
