The Supporting Male Character Just Wants to Be a Tool Man Chapter 36 Discussion

My hand slipped and instead of 3 I rated it 2 stars instead, but well it's not that much different. It's very hilarious at first, but it's became a bit unbearable to me because ML's way of speaking and attitude came off as "objectifying" the MC. It's used too much and too long so this joke or "fluff" leave a bad taste instead.

I know that ML is a tsundere and hasn't realized his feeling yet, moreover their relationship indeed started as FWB and then became closer to sugar daddy so to a degree, ML's treatment was really too good for such relationship. But at the moment, they have never made clear what kind their relationship is. In my understanding, MC is not his yet, but he is so possessive and overbearing. Although he still let MC act, it's still come with a lot of conditions which showed distrustful attitude. I'm not sorry I don't find this behaviour cute. I rather have an outspoken yandere than this kind of tsundere. It felt like a passive-aggressive act. ML is sweet outside, but his supposed "cute" thoughts made my eyes roll.

I also felt complicated towards MC who doesn't mind being treated that way. It's great that he doesn't treat it seriously, but it also made me wonder why he doesn't mind??

However this is a veteran author as you can see in the plot, writing, and characters. If you don't mind the fact that I mentioned or not as sensitive as me, this is a truly good book to read.

Maybe this author is just not my type. I've tried her other works and I don't like them. Her idea of "cute" is always clashed with mine. At least there is always one thing that irks me so much like this one

Of course you also have to read other reviews to know more what type of story this is and whether it'll suit your taste. But at least for me, the start of the book was reallly hillarious and I have no regret for reading that part although it seem I'll abandon this sooner or later.

Review summary: what I thought as the joke became the main drive of the story instead. The story is not to be taken seriously. It fall sort of my expectations.
