This is one of my favorite novels! The start is slow but if you continue reading it gets good fast. The characters are fleshed out, the world-building is great, and the main character is hard-working (builds his way up) I mean, what's not to like? As you read further the more hooked you'll get (speaking from experience T-T). I saw someone say in a review here say that the story picks up in his 2nd year and I absolutely agree. As MC starts to get more experience and gets stronger, the story gets more interesting. It is a harem tho but it isn't focused on romance.Spoiler
So basically MC's first year is focused on getting accustomed and world-building and whatnot
Then in his 2nd year, he became student council president, and explored more about his divinity like he gets holy beasts (2 cats and a bear) and MC created a dark night out of a saint's corpse so like basically his undead had remaining saintess powers (no divinity) oh and everyone actually gets stronger not just the MC!
In his third year, his identity as the 7th Corpse Commander comes to light and Hector also becomes a corpse commander (so the rivalry continues lol) Anyway it's better to just read it and find out for yourself because this short explanation/spoiler doesn't do it justice.
