The first part of the novel is pretty entertaining, I love how the Zhang Xiu slowly falls in love with Lin Ze, and Lin Ze being doting and breaking societal standards by openly doting on his ger... But around the 100th chapter mark, it felt repetitive, there's a part where it peaked my interest again but it got covered up by nonesense side plot Spoiler
he had a ger stepbrother who was in a relationship with the magistrate, the magistrate's other wife tried to kill his stepbrother, but it all turned out well and they got overshadowed by another sideplot.
It's such a shame, this had so much potential, but I suppose Lin Ze's nth business is better lol
There was also a point in the novel where Lin Ze started buying sl*ves like WHAT?!?!?!
