[collapse]A couple issues I had is a feel there is a bit on a plot whole regarding Spoilerwhy he was in an orphanage for the first 7 years of his life. Like we know his mother was planning on coming for him and was a single mother and we know that he was part of the villain's plan, but we never get an explanation on what happened initially/ the mother went through to place him in an orphanage was is just that she couldn't provide during her grief? We know that his Dad left a will that provided, but the army couldn't find them. Was the mother already being threatened by the villain and she tried to hide him in the orphanage? In the case it should mean that original Wen Ran's death was also planned. But I don't remember that being said explicitly? IDK I might have missed something because I read this so quickly (very engaging)
[collapse]SpoilerAlso the misunderstanding leading the MC to fake his death is kinda weak... like I get the poor kid has low self esteem, but ML repeatedly was like if you need help/want out, no matter what I will help you... so like even if you didn't think he was interested in a relationship, I felt he should have known ML knew he was being coerced and wouldn't hold it against him much. Like faking his death is the reason it took another 7 years to reconnected with his mom, who would have gone to find him once the danger is gone, but thought that he was dead. The first act was so good, but this second half was weaker to me for this reason. AND we don't get a single reunited s*x scene like WTF
