Let me preface this by saying, if you're reading this for romance, you can but the several first few arcs not gonna be what you're expected. As several others have said and one of the main reason many dropped this because it's full of angst.
You may ask, why so much angst? Well, if you read the several first chapters, it is stated that the first arc of this novel is not MC's first rodeo. MC is an experienced agent who had been betrayed. She did not trust anyone.
Since many seems to have trouble to get through the first arc, I'm just gonna spoil the first arc. Yes, MC does not love ML in the first few arcs. She's given him two chances to be with her and he ruined both chances. Then, remember that the original host resents the ML for throwing her. So MC did what she did to ML.
I would say this novel IS NOT for beginner in the quick-transmigration genre. Read more QT novels and come back here when you're ready and I think you'll enjoy this. Because this novel has over 5, 000 chapters and I'm at chapter 3, 000+ and still reading it. If you aren't used to huge number chapters like this, you aren't ready for this novel. This novel is unlike other QT novels.
One thing I would like to mention though, I LOVE how ML aren't confirmed to be with her in every world. If he made a mistake, she may choose to not get together with him. Also despite, being together with ML, that does not mean that she'll give her everything to him. Remember, she lived a LONG~ time and she used to be betrayed so it takes time for her to build her trust towards ML.
Honestly, this novel only start to pick up its gear after several more arcs which I don't know how long it'll take for TL to get there.
