DASH Chapter extra63 Discussion

I read the manhwa of this first, but I immediately jumped to read the novel when I saw that its translations were completed. I finished reading all the chapters over the weekend. I've been re-reading my favorite parts (the whole thing, really) over the week during my breaks, and it's still entertaining for me. I'm a sucker for this kind of dynamic: the strong-willed, manly bottom and the puppy top. It's even better in omegaverse (where the common trope is soft and small omegas + tall and hard muscular alphas). Spoiler

Also, Jaekyoung is the second Alpha I've encountered in a novel who's willing to bottom if their Omega wants it.

I want to say I really love Jiheon, with his faults and all. I think the difference between those people who hate him with a passion in these reviews with the people who liked him (like me) is a difference in values. Though it's very unfair to call him a scumbag (like that angry reviewer lol) just because he happened to date a lot of people in the past and just because he engages in ONS. I like his character development here. I like that he's strong-willed when he needs to be. Spoiler

Also, he was drawing (albeit vaguely) a line between him and Jaekyoung, but baby boy was just too persistent that he eventually gave in by the power of dick

I love Jaekyoung too, the socially inept, but pure and deeply obssessive in love baby boy that he is. I think his only flaw is his bratty antisocial attitude, but he does behave when needed, and is incredibly considerate when it counts, especially once he and Jiheon become closer. Though I do admit that his behavior and attitude in the beginning was irritating (I think I called him "this little b*tch" many times xD), it was great to see his character development over the course of the novel. What matters the most in this kind of story is how he treats Jiheon Spoiler

The swimming competition elements seem to be well-researched. Unlike some other omegaverse stories where the story is focused only on the relationship between the main characters, the swimming competition backdrop gives it a little something different.

The smut is... the same ABO smut I've read in any other novel lol. It's not bad, it's quite detailed, and I'm not against it, and I don't mind re-reading it when I have free time. Though, I look forward to seeing in manhwa form Spoiler

The translator (s?) of this manhwa is very diligent, since updates are very regular and the translation is quite good, too. I'm subscribed to wordexcerpt and their updates are annoyingly erratic, and have errors occasionally, and you have to pay for them, too. So this translator is doing a good job!

ETA: That negative reviewer also called the 5-star reviews "bots" lol. Just because you dislike this novel with a passion doesn't make all of us who like it bots. To add: my account is new because I never cared to make an account before reading Dash, and I want to get updates.
