Unconventional Escape Game Chapter 20 Discussion

All released chapters rn are up to chapter.20 please take this with a grain of salt and read the story first.

When I first started reading this, I really liked it. The games 'rules' weren't stated, so you'd have to crack your head with the MC in order to figure things out.

What I especially liked though was that the Spoiler

[collapse] could be known beforehand, without the story even mentioning it once.

The MC was chicken with no seasoning, so I couldn't get attached with the story all too much. Though things such as the translation being clear cut has full respect to the translators and editors working on the story.

Then, came the revelation on chapter 14

My face bled through the floorboards in the obscenity of ???? Everything that I previously liked was blown out of the story!

There was no Risk anymore, no fear, no thinking along with the MC. The game had shown it's bare bones early on, and the rest was history. I wanted to bark. Atleast put the revelation near the end of the story? Make the MC realize he was going through countless worlds just for the revelation of.. This??

I'm probably just talking out of my *garbage bin* but I just don't like the story after chapter 14. Maybe it's just not for me.

So therefore,

[collapse]So first of all, we know that two suspicious people exist. We know that they *probably* want to kill off players, and that the NPC's know them. So, they could only be NPC's.

Thing is, that's not the information I want to highlight. Rather, the NPC's knew the suspicious players were NPC's despite them wearing watches. That's why the Watch is a red herring, and something else must be how an NPC knows a player is a player.

My favorite scene in the story was definitely the Spoiler

Theatre scene, where the MC's actions were portrayed through the movie. It was like the story was telling a statement. 'We know who you are, what you're doing, and what you are. Just like in the movie, you're a puppet on strings used for entertainment. Headlined because well.. You're the protagonist or whatever.
