The way he was ens*aved was very rushed and abrupt, and honestly made me want to drop reading the story as it felt like intervention from the author to ensure that the plot synopsis would be true; it was heading towards a good direction and he grabbed the steering wheel to turn it into something else which negatively impacted the enjoyment of the story for me

the two chapters after it happened, I read maybe 10 words total and skipped most since I was so taken out of the story by how non-enjoyable this plot turn was, since there was an abrupt change in character to force this to happen

I will update it if becomes more enjoyable again, but as a nameless mob reader I just wanted to note that this was not my favorite execution of this trope
