I'm conflicted.Of course nothing makes sense, it isn't hard sci-fi, so don't expect anything realistic from it or a real explanation for the evolution. You need a lot of suspension of disbelieve to enjoy it, it was a bit hard at first because two years just aren't enough for the whole world to simply accept that pets can turn into humans and them immediately being better at almost everything, be it acting, gaming, or business, they naturally talk, walk, and have in-depth knowledge about sometimes highly specialised topics. It makes even less sense later into the story when the evolution is further described, you really have to leave your brain outside. The characters are great, lots of funny interactions, some business-building, found family, and other wholesome topics. What I have an issues with is the ML, the romance, and some minor things that are just plain weird (who plays with their cat's balls? Why was it mentioned so often and treated like something completely normal???) ML's character is somewhat inconsistent when it comes to the MC, he shows himself in his cat form, lets MC treat him like a cat, but two chapters later he wants to be seen as a man by MC and not as a cat.His romantic interest wasn't developed well, all of the cats behaved as possessive as he did so it seemed a bit out of nowhere, like an afterthought that wasn't initially planed like that.MC doesn't really think of the evolved pets as humans but still feels something for the ML, all while continuing to see his cats as basically his children. It's hard to explain but their budding romance is just really weird because the story moves too quickly, I would have liked a much longer build-up with gradual changes and natural development, right now it feels borderline inappropriate.I'm not sure if I'll continue it, while I do really like the idea and everything is very cute, the way it was done just makes me lowkey uncomfortable.
