I’m Just an Underling of an Evil Organization, but for Some Reason I was Ordered to Honeytrap the Hero Chapter 22 Discussion

So, when I am writing this there are only 4 review and they are unreliable and biased.

Here mine, trying to be impartial and just because this story isn't that bad but not a masterpiece either and never attempted to be. And I honestly think the best way to understand what this is all about, is to look the name of the "evil organization" straight in their eyes : "Humbaba". Like, this is saying it all 😂😂😂

this is the "silly" story love story between a clueless MC (because informations have been hidden from him), who work for the "Big Bad Guys", and the "Hero". It's full of cliche but the author isn't hiding themselves from it. There is some angst and "righteous enlightenment" scenes Spoiler

about ens*aved droids who are just slightly different from humans, this information hidden from MC and their colleagues in the evil organization, and MC was modified to be able to get pregnant but without him knowing

The romance is not as fluffy a said in Lunica's review of 5 stars. There are not as much smut as they said so far (reminder I am chapter 21/26 and Idk if it includes the extras), mc's attractiveness is subjective Spoiler

or literally artificial because he isn't the only "female"

mzie's 3 stars review is mean by calling it "mediocre". This author have potential and did their best with the little experience they had and the best exemple of it is the first smut scene and how they tried to show something quite important from mc's reaction in the middle of it but it was too abrupt and felt fake but was an okay attempt. to be clear, the author tried to "hint" a deeper connection between MC and ML and that MC was attract to ML since earlier on and made the "evil scientist" says it later on for confirmation but it still felt like r*pe or dubcon because of MC saying "no" and "stop" rather than "wait" or "slow down"

Another good exemple of the author attempt is the 2nd ML Spoiler

they seemed to have tried to do a "second male lead syndrome" with his demeanor and polite way of talking but failed because of how little interaction ml2 had with MC before the two mls faced each other and were compared

Anyway! This is a funny cliche story with some sad part but despite the flaws it is still worth reading to pass time or wait for your favorite novel to update. It doesn't deserve anything above 3 stars but also nothing below 2 stars. Anyone doing so is either an hypocrite who put the bare too high even after reading "Humbaba", a paid review or as much a bean sprout as the author. But Shrike1978 who gave 3.3 is okay because they got it but had a hard time trying to explain it.

And the comment section of the novel in the site are okay and honest.
