Started off really interesting but eventually the quality dropped off too much for me to continue. When the novel is focusing on the main story/relationship between the MC and the eponymous childhood friend its really good/interesting, but the childhood friend has been sidelined for like 150+ chapters in favor of the conga line of (incredibly uninteresting, single personality trait) harem members that the MC inexplicably tolerates/has no ability to say no to or stand up to, and arcs devolve from focusing on the main story to just talking about various places MC goes with his hanger on gang of girls and their reactions, the actual interesting part of the premise has essentially vanished completely and been replaced with a generic harem power fantasy.
