Story which had a lot of potential, but unfortunately was left in the hands of a smooth-brained author lacking the chops to properly pull it off. Many of the criticisms are valid, the author leans too heavily into "Korean Comedy" rather than proper character development, and pacing is all over the place. It's frustrating as the author's a bit of an idiot savant who can intrigue the reader with some small stretches where he abandons the [Dense Harem Protagonist] tropes, or at least leaves them out of the other elements of the story that don't involve his harem, but I guess the phrase "write what you know" is pretty apt for the author, who knows very little. Later chapters abandon this "separation between harem comedy and Murim action" and becomes quite the jumbled mess as a result.Instead of properly building the various plot threads into a logical story, the author lazily resorts to J.J. Abrams "Mystery Box" plots to build suspense, which is fitting for the ADHD "modern audience" he seems to be writing for.tl;dr: meh-tier time waster which could be a bit of enjoyable snack reading spoiled by the author's inability to properly mix the ingredients in the right proportions and lazily cutting corners to the detriment of the story.
