Author at one point has the main cast as almost side line characters. Mu Yun x Qui Yun story become the main storyline with the annoying Xie Warren. Even Mu Yun said he had suspension about the whole drug incident but does nothing "waiting" yearsfor qui yun to come back ?_?.
I wished they had MuYun investigates Xie warren right off the bat after the Qui Yun and his grandfather incident and chased after "Qui Yun" years earlier so they can investigate together and develop feelings then get revenge and/or save the grandpa while our main cast can still get involved teach them cooking, help resolve the poison, and have some sweet moments. Sry im rewriting the story. Dunno that part was totally poorly written and boring. The author does get back to the main characters after deiving off the road for a while.
[collapse]SpoilerAnother issue the timeline. At the beginning time skip was few months to a year. Then when it started the massive time skips things started to not make sense or forgotten about. Maybe take the 0 off 10 year 20 year 50 years. I guess I was suppose to feel those timeskip are nothing bc its a cultivation novel. But what about the side line characters then? Are we suppose to assume the grandkids kept up with their cultivation and not die off? I read the mtl so wasnt sure what happen to the grandkids, the brother family?

- MC brother and his family (i hope they were moved to higher planes too.)
- xiaodong, xiaofan and xiaojin & their husbands.
- xiaodong, xiaofan, and xiaojinn interaction with the their babies
- MCxML with grandbabies
- plus a wedding. They never show the kids wedding. I imagine their small only family wedding would have been touching and sweet.
- The other half of the story, Xiaodong and Xiaofan didnt have any screen time. Even Xiaojin didnt really have much. Family dynamic at the beginning
was so good. I wish the author coninuted it in the other half of the story too. [collapse]
