The novel is an okay read, but if you're expecting dynamic action scenes, look elsewhere.

The novel is more of a slice-of-life, focusing on the MC's travels exploring and learning the mysteries of the world (a.k.a. Magic). The enjoyment is primarily on the world building and the magic system usage.

The way the magic system works, is basically communicating in the language of magic to mystery beings to perform magic. In other novels, think of it as spirit magic, but there can only be one spirit on the battlefield that is shared between all wizards. So I will refer to the mystery beings as spirits to make it understandable. The combat between wizards using the same magic school is like two children bickering and ordering the same spirit to do their bidding, resulting in the spirit doing nothing when all instructions conflict/cancel out each other, thus confused. When the spirit cannot tolerate the bickering anymore, it would go, "screw this, I'm going home", thus both wizards are no longer able to use magic from that spirit and need to use a different school of magic.

The MC's fight is mainly standing in the back observing, and maybe throw some CC here and there, letting other people do all the main fighting in front. Most conflict is through communication and intimidation between MC and his opponent with little to no fighting involved. So it is pretty much a bore.

The comedy is light, as it focuses on misunderstanding and ignorance of the population, with bad fashion sense. Still better than having no comedy in a slice-of-life novel.
