This story is partly from the POV of Seiden (ML) and partly from the POV of Belotta (FL).

ML is a very brusque man. On the surface the typical ML with the black hair, red eyes— strongest knight in the lands and from a Marquis family. He isn't delicate in how he speaks, but on the inside is considerate (mostly to FL who he has always liked). He ranges from blunt to lowkey kinda savage. He's not overly heroic but has a good sense of justice. I liked the part in the story where he goes on a rescue monster hunt mission and when he finds out they plan to sacrifice a child and his mom, he saves them and leaves the others to die. I would describe the way he does things as practical/cautious— he does not take s*upid deals that would be detrimental to himself. Tldr he is not a frustrating goody two shoes.

FL is very good natured, hard working and quite stubborn to the point of recklessness sometimes. She really believes in helping/protecting others and always puts others before herself. She's a bit more prickly towards ML who typically doesn't care about delicacy/politeness but really trusts him. She doesn't know ML likes her and just thinks he is a devout man who has a sense of justice. He offends her in their first encounter (he actually was quite rude, holding onto residual anger having met the horrible criminal that was supposed to go sleep with her) and she kept insisting she would just see the death row inmates (despite not fully understanding how disgusting and dangerous they are— thank god venereal disease does not seem to be a thing) bc she was mad at him and a bit naive about self-preservation. She can't quite say no to the useless and annoying moneybags duke who has a crush on her (and keeps coming up with s*upid plans that put them all into danger). She's not that dense tho— bc she knows the idiot likes her and is using his money to gain favor.
