This novel is a character-driven novel, instead of a story-driven one. In this case, the MC largely carries the novel forward, especially in the first arc where he battles his own household who wants him dead.Damn, the first arc is just mediocre.Storywise, this novel only comes alive in the second arc (Frost Heart Academy). The story becomes better, and the MC even more so. Why is that you say? Read on to know more.Do not be fooled by the title of this novel. While the 1-second plot armor is prominent, equally important here in this novel is that the MC is actually a very good player of the game he transmigrated into. The game may be hard, which is why he cheats, but he knows a lot of secrets and future events of the game. And this is where the author has done well, he just let MC exploits his vast knowledge of the game into his great advantage without causing too much of a butterfly effect, in a very believable way. MC's game knowledge is arguably far more important than his 1-second plot armor and his other 'plot armors' too. This does not mean MC has it easy in this game world though, and the author seems to be planning to make tge sarcastic MC's life to suffer some more. Incompetent subordinates, cunning antagonists and grossly harmful misunderstandings are some of the hazards the MC has to deal with in his new world. The author has also done good in eliminating any signs of a harem, and also of keeping the interactions between the MC and the game's original MC to the minimum. And the fact that the latter has not lost any of his own opportunities (the former did not grab the latter's future core weapons or techniques or treasures) even when the former ab*ses his game knowledge, shows the author's great writing skills.
