Rating: 3/5- The scum should have been punished more. Even in death you didn’t deserve a person who loved you that much.

Depression really is as dark and debilitating as written by the author. The concept of su*cide in this story is not the answer to pain but is actually the consequences of severe depression and mental illness. The point of the story comes across half heartedly but it’s good that it comes across nonetheless.

The writing was slightly poor on such a strenuous topic and it certainly did not come across all too well but many of the MCs warning signs were mentioned throughout to help you see how he began spiralling. All too often severe depression goes unnoticed or downplayed until it’s too late. People with depression feel way more than you think, to the point that it’s soul crushing.

The redemption wasn’t enough for me. The death was only the consequences of the true damage inflicted by the ML- abandonment, neglect, betrayal, denial, lies and emotional ab*se and manipulation. On the psyche of an already fragile mind, this is basically pulling the trigger slowly on a grenade.

Human beings needs to realise the impact we have on others in the current society and how fragile our mental states are in a high strung, neglectful and high pressured 21st century. Depression is incredibly serious and we need to start acknowledging that.
