A Regressor’s Tale of Cultivation Chapter 300 Discussion

I enjoyed this novel, the cultivation system is really fun and interesting, pacing is good, tragedy hits hard and then... the tragedy continues on and on and on, it becomes a lot less interesting when every prediction you make, the prediction being his plan will fail, comes true 100% of the time.

Later on, we get to see he finally achieves a happy ending in the lower world, tying up all loose ends in a satisfying way, not perfectly, but still good considering the numerous failures, then his reset point changes so you think that good ending is set in stone, then much later on he returns and we find out that everything he did for a perfect ending still resulted in tragedy, his own master went insane and became a villain and then turned into a salt pillar due to learning the truth of that world

So basically at this point, it feels safe to assume that everything will go wrong and there will be no happiness as everything will eventually turn into sadness at some point regardless of what it is, I don't even know if this story will have a happy ending, if there is going to be any kind of true happiness, it feels like it will only happen at the end of the novel, but it might not.

With that being the case, I put down this novel for the past couple months, I will probably pick it up again when I am feeling like some good old tragedy, got a bit burnt out on it with this novel, it is incredibly well written though so I will certainly return to it, but it is a bit much.
