Just caught up with the latest chapter (92 right now) and I laughed so much! "Wife said..." indeed! He's so obedient and awe struck I can totally forgive him for checking out MC's assets last chapter like a perv.This whole story is just wholesome. It's more of a farming game than an adventure, but there are some mysteries and the character dynamics keep it interesting beyond the MC's latest scheme to get rich.It's a distinct trait in chinese novels that the characters focus on becoming rich business moguls, I guess? Here it's quite charming, though, because no matter what he builds/grows/harvests there are always interwoven interactions with the surrounding characters that keep things interesting. And while some have a rather bad relationship, they are all ordinary people (presumably the husband might know important people somewhere, but he himself is a peasant, too), so no harem schemes or poisonings or other deadly attacks. Mostly just petty words, greedy money grabbing attempts and some beatings from the mother in law in the beginning.And a lot of amazing feats that leave the antagonists just dying of envy, no other measures needed. Both, MC and ML, level up pretty quickly and don't have to mind the majority of people much anymore at this point though.A leisurely read if you just want something happy and simple. The translation is fairly amazing, take a look at the footnotes explaining all the obscure and cultural references that would have flown right over my head otherwise! =)
