Red Dot Chapter 117 Discussion

PLOT: 4.5* it's a zombie apocalypse setting, the MC had precognitive dreams of various ways he tried to survive before everything started and uses this (limited) prior knowledge to strategically deal with situations while searching for a cure

MC: 5*! Smart, clever, and efficient; never a damsel in distress, he's one of the best fighters in his party; caring towards his own people but doesn't go entirely out of his way for random people

ML: 4.5* he's got the suspicious psychotic mu*der vibe going on but it doesn't feel forced and ties in with the plot; Spoiler

at first his character seems like it could just be a cliche cardboard cut out of cold possessive blood thirsty ML (to be fair, his is those things), but KEEP READING; it all ties into the plot, most important his back story isn't just told to you as a kind of after thought, it's woven in throughout the novel as part of the narrative

ROMANCE: 4.5* not fluffy but still sweet in a dysfunctional way; you get to see ML falling Spoiler

not recommended if you're looking for something light and fluffy; I personally found them very cute and caring towards eachother but it is in a dark kind of dysfunctional way; their feelings are very detached and dissonant but develope over time as they learn about themselves

RELATIONSHIP SPEED: medium Spoiler

they aren't all over eachother immediately it always feels like they are moving forward and it's not just put on pause randomly so plot can happen; physical intimacy builds up in stages so we still get steamy scenes

SMUT: briefly put, this is not really a smut novel, this is a novel (with a fleshed out plot) where the romance scenes don't "fade to black" and are well done
