It Seems the Villainess Whose Engagement was Broken Wants to Pioneer the Yuri Route Chapter 10 Discussion

I like Villainess stories, and I like the ideas behind this one, but honestly the setting and pace bring this down for me, by a lot. I gave it a 3 because there's nothing bad really, but that's it, and even that is perhaps a bit high.

For the setting it's basically just medieval but mentions magic, which is the worst of both worlds. It doesn't embrace the adventure of magic, but also doesn't use the normal setting to create interesting dynamics. It does the same thing with issues of class and sexuality, everything is confined so no girl/girl dates or anything, but it's also not so bad that it feels horrible, should change yes but not like angering.

And that pace is just so plodding and glossing over things, we get set up but lack the payoff or the interactions it causes.
