Ah, yes... Of course I (the translator) have to write a review for this!

Frankly, I wasn't charmed by this novel until episode 30ish. After that I just can't put it down ;-; goodbye, my money!

These days, I keep imagining our innocent but soulless looking Namia going *cues instrumentals of Taylor Swift's sl*t!* "And if I'm gonna be drunk, I might as well be drunk in love over power"

In the probable planning stages, this is an absolutely cliche and standard novel, like the characters and general plot is nice, but not something we have never seen before.

In the execution, it's just flat out hilarious and unhinged. Filled with the usual yunajin goodness of taglines, puns, first love, sad background, fleshed out main and side characters, relationship development that progresses with the plot... this baby is an entire circus. CIRCUS. Lemme just emphasise it once more for good measure.

My only complaint will be that one of the main villains is just not as memorable as everyone else. He is supposed to be this big bad sneaky mastermind who has evaded the imperial family (who are dragon descendants by the way) for yearsssss, maybe that's why he didn't get much screentime? Well, doesn't matter, the leads relationship develops and deepens and solidifies even during whatever mess is going on!

Some of my ramblings:

Spoiler

Oh gosh, Namia (FL) is an experiment. Her mother wants power so much that she experimented on herself but the powers ended up with Namia. Did those experiments give Namia similar desires for power? Lol

Love how Kiaros and Namia are both each other's first chosen family! There are more and more families who have adopted children or step siblings, there are also more and more children who are emotionally abandoned by their parents. I think the author did a great job at highlighting some of the feelings of such kids without flat-out telling the readers.

Especially love the part where Namia assures Kiaros/Kibon that she loves him no matter if he is an experiment or horse... I know I sound unhinged but that's what it is ;-;

I can't believe Cedric (FL's father) can still love Aran (FL's mother) after all these years and what she did to him/everyone else... Love how she is not immediately "redeemed", she still has ways to go for personality rehabilitation.

Anastasia x the knight is something I never knew I needed. Our fellow rofan enthusiast is dating in real life! Someone call the press cause we have a winner!

EDIT: side stories are out!!!!!! love the throwback to the last two works of the author!!!! wished there's more though... I'm as greedy as always...
