The character setting for the child MC is already pitiful, but the author made it worse by having wretched adults exploit the kid's innocence and hope for a better life. The first two weeks of them shooting the variety show were so painful to read that I skipped the second week. It hurt to see an innocent child exploited by the show producers. This part wasn't even important to the plot; it was just a device to bring the father and daughter closer and make netizens like the child MC more. It got better in the third week of the shoot. By chapter 84, the show is in its fifth week, if I recall correctly. I've had enough and can consider this done since there are no more plot twists expected in this Slice of Life. The child MC and her father are adorable. They're smart, and their relationship keeps improving. The plot and endearing moments are a bit lacking, but the child MC is written so cutely. Overall, it's a 3.5-star story.
