Like all of FUNA-Sensei's works, objectively, this isn't a great story.

But also like all of FUNA-Sensei's works, it's a lot of damn fun.

It's not a story that would ever win any real awards, but it's definitely something worth recommending to your friends.

Popcorn Entertainment (noun) : A motion picture without serious dramatic content, a weighty message, or intellectual depth, which serves simply as enjoyable entertainment.

FUNA-Sensei makes popcorn entertainment, but is pretty good at it.

Mitsuha, the MC, is a schemer who tends to overthink any given scenario. Her solutions to problems tend to involve over-the-top theatrics that succeed more from their weirdness than by her actually coming up with a logical solution. It doesn't go into Konosuba levels of satire, but it's still a comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously.

The plot is minimal, and has no real direction other than "whatever the MC" happens to feel like doing at the moment, and yet it's always fun to see what Mitsuha wants to do next.

Any drama tends to be wrapped up within a few chapters, but it still manages to be entertaining, and things still feel important within the moment.

There is no weighty message. This is just a story of a girl with isekai powers that wants to make as much money as possible. But it's fun, and that's reason enough.

Intellectual depth? What's that? Is it tasty? This isn't something you read in order to think. This is something you read in order to have a good laugh every couple chapters.

This isn't a story that's written to be "good, " it's written to put you in a good mood, and it definitely succeeds in that.

Again, this is not a "good" story, but it's a fun one, and something I'm always happy to read.
