Like the other FUNA works, saving 80k gold has a rather significant technical shift in style from its first year material to its later material. Unlike Average abilities or Potions! also despite what the description above says, Saving 80k gold is not in the same universe as Average Abilities or Potions!. The Planetary Stability Manager known as God has never arrived to oppose Mitsuha. Although Mitsuha, Kaoru, and Mile meet and chat in the authors notes of the series when discussing publishing and anime, those are the authors notes which transcend reality.

the Anime is basically fine, theres some longterm issues in terms of what the legally-not-Black Water PMC gets as payment for E12 and Princess Sabine is essentially written out of the story since the material adapted covers Sabine's period as a secondary character rather then her later role. If you want to continue reading thats fine, but the anime cuts out the majority of the context of how much legwork Mitsuha puts into her jobs and the consultations. And the entire tunnel defense/rivercrossing is material written for the Anime to fluff out the runtime since there really isnt 12 episodes of material in the first year of writing when you cut out what normally gets cut for the purposes of medium.
