There was no effort put into anything, it has the quality of some random fanfiction written by a 12y old.Either the writer is a young minor and simply didn't care about learning the basics of writing because it's all just for fun, or it's a cash grab trying to get on the zombie train. All characters are stereotypes, adults behave like young teens, no one has much of a problem with accepting that the world has been filled with zombies overnight, and there are a lot of holes. The first ones pop up in the initial chapters, then their number rises further and further, the writer obviously had no outline and made no notes to keep her world-building stable. She wrote whatever she wanted, otherwise I can't understand how anyone can lose track of their own story in the span of only a couple of chapters.ML and MC know each other for two days and already act like teens in love, including blushing, sudden care for the other, fearing for them, and so on.ML is an elite soldier. That makes it even more cringe than it would normally be.One of the side-characters is a walking trope, probably meant to be the comedic relief, but it's done so badly that he isn't just extremely annoying, he would have gotten them all killed if the writer would have wanted to produce anything remotely believable. The world is black and white, you have the absolute good-guys, and the absolute villains, nothing in between. You won't find any unique ideas either, it's "inspired" by other zombie novels, sometimes a little too closely for my taste, so close that you can easily say it's straight up stolen.Like in MC's case, which is identical to an older novel.Apparently that's not the only part that has been closely replicated/stolen from other novels, if some comments on Chinese sites can be believed.
