The Marshal’s Wife is The Real Boss Chapter 1 Discussion

I'm confused about the complaint about the first chapter from Wintercreepe. It's no Shakespeare, isn't particularly great prose, and suffers from 'all tell no show' that many Webnovel's have, but it's not as confusing as I was led to believe

First of all, in chapter 1, the MC is not naked but 'nearly naked' and then it's further elaborated that his clothes are in tatters.

Secondly, there isn't a sentence that explicitly stated that the backpack only had a knife and a cultivation book initially. Only that the MC's only weapon is a knife at present (it's been 10 years of an apocalypse, I'm not surprised that items could get broken, lost, deteriorate, etc).

Thirdly, it's an apocalypse with dangerous beasts lurking everywhere. Why would the MC leave his cave unless he absolutely had to or was strong enough to do so?

Finally, it's only the first chapter, and the MC has just left his cave after being a massive hermit. It would be weirder if he did know the reason that there was mass population and city loss over the years. While some suspension of belief is required, I don't get why there was a complaint about it before the reason for so many cities and villages falling was explained. It'd make more sense to complain about it being illogical once the author reveals how the apocalypse happened (or if the author never explains), not complain about it being illogical before any deeper backstory has started (again, it's just the first chapter lol)
