Green Tea Goes Viral After Being Forced to Tell the Truth Chapter 12 Discussion

Unrated since I didn't finish it or get through too much but isn't this novel just... generic?

I don't necessarily think generic or sometimes even cliche novels are bad but there's something exceptionally bland about this one that feels like it's a patchwork of every average entertainment novel.

Cool immediate face slaps, extremely mercurial netizens, antagonists who have precisely One character trait, side characters who look with heart eyes towards the MC, extremely rapid turnover time of like everything.

I mean even Ning Chuchu's backstory is dime a dozen - cheating rich father who married his green tea mistress and a fake white lotus stepsister.

She tears apart the entertainment world with her truths but they all seem to work out for her. Truthfully, we all have truths which no one wants to hear but by plot contrivance and loopholes she avoids those and everything works for her.

Even the system is just aggrieved system who doesn't understand the host type.

Male lead, cold unfeeling fiance who gains interest because of her overnight change in personality. And I have a bone to pick with the generic love reality show. Literally Ning Chuchu appears for a scene where all the other guests are, drops a truth bomb and smirks and then leaves. What kind of live stream is that where a guest appears for minutes?

Anyways I'm nitpicking. I don't get the high ratings. I don't demand much out of web novels but there's normally a pulse point for readers. I can't really see this novel having that.
