This book is really good so far, and I got a feeling that more is happening before I finish. The MC seems badass in his own way, and ML kinda seems weak mentally, so far.Spoiler
So far:
Plus when you realize MC numbed his feelings long ago, and never tried to find the crown prince only out of love but instead anger, it gets more depth. I guess the anger he feels against the empire and it's people is one that is personal for his ex and is beyond personal. Plus when he cries in agony when he finds the mech is just (chef's kiss).
[collapse]Overall I would say the author has done more than enough to provide us with a decently built MC. He is weak, he is strong, he has amazing self awareness, and somehow keeps alive while killing himself.
