The wolrd building is great and most characters that we see are not just bland archetypes they have an objective relationship between them etc... but the author doesn't know when to let go of the stick at least in Berserk its clear, you know what to expect.Here you are in that grey zone where it could be good sometimes for the MC but most of the times something come and F everything up or when you are already on the groud he is still kicking you Spoiler
(the death of cassia and then Katrina for example).
