I've been enjoying this novel a fair bit. It's not particularly special, but it also doesn't have many flaws. The MC is definitely among the few MC eho are decent humans among Chinese novels, so as sad as it is, that alone wins this novel a lot of points. I'm also not a fan of drama, and there has basically been none of it as of chapter 85. He hasn't even had any real enemies as of this point:Spoiler
At most, a woman got mad at the MC for a misunderstanding, and he fixed that relationship real quick with some sweet talk on their first meeting. Most of the MC's battles so far have been through virtual fights under anonymous identities.
[collapse]There have been no young masters, and very little distain. And those that look down on the MC for any reason are often quick to catch themselves by noticing some aspect or another that shows he isn't that simple. Many might find that boring. I find it nice to have an occasional read where I can just read peacefully, yet not have a MC who is already the strongest in the world. He's op, but in his tier. And since he's not an idiot revealing his talents or items to the world, he's not being targeted by powerhouses. The main issue I have so far? The translation. It's clearly cleaned up MTL. There are occasional words that are clearly translated to the wrong one, completely changing the meaning of what the original must have said. Like the translator mentions the world they are living on was "founded" billions of years ago. The way it mentioned makes it seem like there has been human civilization there for billions of years, yet later writing clearly counters this. Some meanings are translated in reverse as well. As in, they translate something as not being something, when it actually is, or vice versa.Even worse, the translator is splitting already short chapters in half. The result is some of the shortest chapters I have ever seen, as in under 500 words at max, and many being around 450. Even combining 3 of those chapters together would have been only on the upper range of short chapters. So don't be fooled by the rapid release frequency.
