This novel is by no means a masterpiece but makes good effort to entertain its reader. It may be simple matter of taste, but this novel manages to write not just the main character but also the stories around him well enough to evoke an array of different emotions in me. In my opinion, that is more than enough to give it at least 4 stars. (Giving 5 to pump those numbers up) This novel is one of those that makes me feel excited and yet worried about the ending, as it might either make it a masterpiece or bring it down to 2 stars. The strong point of this novel is definitely its characters, that might not be as well written and multidimensional as in some other globally accepted novels, but certainly good enough for me to actually connect with them all and not just the main character alone. There are many things to nit-pick in this novel, especially the overall writing. But if you choose to simply read it, and not analyse or criticise, it certainly is a decent read.P.S.If being edgy is considered cringe, then most korean novels are "gigacringe".
