3.5/5: slightly better than ok.Some stuff concerning the translation:While I've read up to c40 of the translation by Sleepy Translations (the latest chapter as of the writing of this review), it's actually the equivalent of the 1st half of chapter 13 of the raws. I don't mind translators splitting up chapters to release, but I wish they could label them like the raw chapters to avoid confusion. Otherwise, who knows which 'chapter 20' you're talking about?Anyway, I mtl'd the story up to chapter 22 of the raws, so in reality my review is probably for something around chapter 70 of the translation, and about one-fifth of the actual story if all the chapters are the same length.Actual Review:It's a story with a premise that's not wholly new, but still interesting.MC transmigrates into a novel as a cannon fodder supporting female after sympathizing in the comments/reviews with the 'pitiful' villain of the novel. Meanwhile, the actual villain/ML may have a sad past but is totally a psycho now and indeed treats human lives like grass (MC realizes this shortly after transmigration, and regrets her decision to sympathize). The MC is a normal-ish modern girl in a new, weak body, who is sadly quite incompetent regarding anything cultivation, alchemy, and artifact-related.ML and MC are tied together by the system so that he also experiences her physical pains and discomforts, can't leave a radius of 10 feet around her, and will die if she dies. They start at odds but forced to stay together due to the system, with ML vowing to kill her but unable to, even trying to take care of her since the system forces him to. As the story progresses they get more and more used to each other and ML stops being quite as homicidal. It's the kind of story where MC reforms ML through the power of love or something. There is a lot of death in this book, mostly of unnamed side characters that the ML simply slaughters. Since I don't particularly like either the ML or the MC, I wasn't very invested in their relationship, but it'll be an alright book to kill time once I can binge it.
